Product Design Engineer – Customer Terminals, Kuiper CT PD

Job Description

Product Design Engineers are sought for Project Kuiper, an initiative to launch Low Earth Orbit satellites providing broadband connectivity to communities worldwide. They will be responsible for mechanical part and assembly design, testing, and bringing innovative consumer products to market.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 3+ years of experience in product design (consumer, medical, telecom, etc)
• 3+ years of experience with 3D CAD modeling & 2D drawing creation
• Experience with designing for high volume manufacturing and assembly processes
• Experience performing tolerance analysis and statistical analysis techniques

Responsibilities

• Direct Responsible Individual for multiple system components
• Collaborate with cross-functional team to solve electromechanical problems
• Identify key design constraints and priorities
• Deliver robust, flexible, durable, and performant designs
• Communicate effectively with team members and executives
• Create scalable solutions while solving tactical problems
