Sr Software Development Engineer, AWS Elastic Block Store

Job Description

Amazon Elastic Block Store (EBS) is looking for experienced software development engineers to help build the future of cloud storage.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS
• Provide specialized security solutions for cloud services
• Own the design, implementation, and operation of a large distributed system
• Drive the roadmap for the next generation of compute instances
• Improve AWS customer experience by reducing latencies
