Amazon Dedicated Cloud Engineer, Region Reliability Engineering & Automation

Job Description

Amazon Web Services is seeking talented AWS Dedicated Cloud Engineers to join our Region Reliability Engineering & Automation (RRE&A) team to ensure the seamless operation of AWS’s dedicated cloud regions through proactive reliability engineering, automation, and leading-edge solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of systems administration experience (Linux/Windows or Networking)
• 3+ years experience with cloud computing, DevOps, site reliability engineering, or software development experience
• 5+ years of experience using debugging and systems analysis skills to identify and resolve/mitigate issues
• 3+ years of experience working with at least one scripting or programming language
• 3+ years of experience with the Linux command line interface
• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative solutions to reduce repetitive tasks and build systems that minimize manual intervention
• Expand regional coverage for AWS’s critical services
• Conduct deep dives into system and service interdependencies to proactively identify and resolve region-specific challenges
• Collaborate with industry-recognized engineers and contribute to a culture of excellence and reliability
• Partner with U.S. Intelligence and Defense agencies to ensure mission resilience
