Sr. Electrical Design Engineer, Data Center Design Engineering

Job Description

Amazon Web Services is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their global engineering team responsible for designing and innovating data center infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or 12+ years of relevant electrical experience
• 7+ years of experience with industrial or commercial electrical design
• 9+ years of experience developing design documentation for construction and permitting

Responsibilities

• Data center electrical designs and collaboration with other disciplines
• Ensure designs meet quality and budgetary requirements
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal requirements and building codes
• Review and approval of equipment submittals
• Provide technical support for information requests and during construction phases
• Test and validate installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems
• Work on concurrent projects in multiple geographical regions
• Travel to sites for site review and work with onsite field engineers
• Offer creative and innovative solutions
