Quantum Hardware Engineer, Yield Improvement, Fabrication, AWS CQC

Job Description

The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer with fabrication and data analysis experience to work on developing a fault-tolerant quantum computer.

Requirements

• PhD or Masters in Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
• Experience analyzing experimental and observational data sets
• Experience with scientific coding/scripting languages (Python numpy, MATLAB) and SQL

Responsibilities

• Develop and monitor key defect drivers and paths toward improvements
• Define yield improvement strategies based on data-driven analysis
• Deep dive into device failures, lead root cause failure analysis, and develop databases for critical information extraction
