Sr Product Design Engineer – Customer Terminals, Kuiper CT PD

Job Description

Product Design Engineers needed to lead architectural and technical design for outdoor consumer electronics products within the Project Kuiper initiative.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of experience in consumer electronics products with recent focus on designing outdoor rated electronics/telecommunications products
• Experience with 3D CAD modeling, tooling reviews, and designing for high volume manufacturing and assembly processes
• Experience in designing Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs) and electrical interconnects

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural and technical design for outdoor consumer electronics products
• Assess project/risk readiness for Product Design owned deliverables
• Communicate effectively with team members, cross functional teams, and executives
• Independently prioritize tasks based on value judgements
• Solve ambiguous problems with a customer-focused approach
• Negotiate and collaborate with external teams to manage priorities and allocate resources efficiently
• Travel up to 25% internationally and domestically
