Senior Simulation & Analysis Engineer, Cell

Job Description

The Senior Simulation and Analysis Engineer position at Milwaukee Tool involves contributing individually and as a technical leader to develop models for battery performance and failure prediction.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Material Engineering
• 5 years of experience in related design field with 2+ years of relevant industry experience in physics-based modeling of thermo-electrochemical and mechanical performance/safety characterization of lithium cells
• In-depth knowledge of Li-ion battery cell materials, operation, performance, and failure modes
• Proficiency in programming and simulation tools such as Python, MATLAB, Simulink, and Ansys Products
• Strong technical communication skills and ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain simulation tools for predicting battery performance, aging, and failure modes
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to integrate models into battery design and development processes
• Conduct literature review to identify topics of interest for internal research and development
• Drive urgency in project schedules and accountability for establishing and achieving key project cost and metrics
