Group Manager-Data Engineering

Job Description

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Group Manager of Data Engineering to lead a team of data engineers in executing critical data initiatives using Azure, Databricks, and Spark technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred
• 8+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing teams of 10+ members
• Strong expertise in Azure cloud services, Databricks, and Apache Spark
• Proven track record in managing complex data projects in an agile environment
• Experience in talent development and team leadership
• Proficiency in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehouse concepts
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and sprint planning processes
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong problem-solving skills and strategic thinking abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 15 data engineers
• Drive data engineering projects and ensure quality and timely delivery
• Oversee development and maintenance of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data infrastructure
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships
• Implement best practices in project management and drive innovation and efficiency
• Develop and mentor team members and support data architecture alignment
• Contribute to the organization's data strategy and long-term vision for data utilization
