Remanufacturing Engineer, Automation and Controls

Job Description

The Remanufacturing Engineer, Automation and Controls role at Rivian involves designing and maintaining remanufacturing capabilities of Electric Adventure Vehicles throughout the service lifecycle.

Requirements

• Demonstrated PLC programming experience, preferably Allen Bradley
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software Engineering, or Automation Engineering
• 2+ years of hands-on experience
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc Robots and Profinet, Profisafe, IO-Link networks
• Experience with Siemens Servomotors and Drives, Jira, Smartsheet, and AutoCAD
• Proven experience in automation/controls design

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing operations automated controls systems
• Modify and develop programs for robot movement, motion control systems, and PC-based automation software
• Collaborate with vendors and design teams for equipment implementation
• Design and implement Graphical User and Human-Machine Interfaces (GUIs and HMIs)
• Ensure compliance with corporate standards of control systems
• Develop and maintain system documentation
• Provide support for installation and debugging of automation systems
• Regularly report progress to engineering and leadership team members
