Stamping Die Engineer

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Sr. Tooling Engineer in Stamping Operation to support the manufacturing of components for their Electric Adventure Vehicles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field
• 5 years of die design / engineering change experience
• Knowledge of automotive design and development process
• Strong excel skills
• Strong 3D modeling experience
• Experience with SMIRT, Argus, Polyworks, JIRA are a plus
• Must be organized

Responsibilities

• Assist Tooling Design Engineers in die design reviews
• Prepare buyoff packages for successful homeline runoff
• Make changes to tooling to meet quality and productivity targets
• Work closely with production, T&D, and tooling engineers
• Ensure downstream quality needs are met
• Modify die designs to support engineering changes
• Communicate change requirements for modifications
• Manage SMIRT software for die design storage and BOM management
• Confirm actual die condition Vs. CAD die condition
