Job Description

Rivian is seeking a highly motivated mechanical design & release engineer to shape the physical design of their electric vehicle systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters preferred)
• 4+ years of exterior component design and release experience
• Catia v5 / v6 operative skills
• Proven supplier management skills
• Compliance with company procedures & quality standards

Responsibilities

• Design, Develop, and release Exterior Components
• Apply expert knowledge of various manufacturing processes
• Work with studio team to provide feedback
• Use first principle driven design direction
• Communicate effectively with cross functional groups
• Be a leader within the team to improve and elevate
• Create different CAD concepts for issues
• Work with cross functional teams to develop high quality design
• Manage mass/cost/time and proactively communicate issues
