The Staff ECAD Solutions Engineer role at Rivian involves playing a pivotal role in the architecture and support of critical ECAD tools, focusing on driving technical solutions and integrations for Rivian's Electrical Engineering teams.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
7+ years of experience with ECAD tools, specifically Cadence OrCAD, Cadence Allegro, and Altium Designer.
Strong background in Electrical Design Automation (EDA), PCB design, and architecture of electrical design applications.
Experience with ECAD library management and supply chain data integrations.
Proven ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
Experience with project management and leading ECAD tool upgrades and enhancements.
Responsibilities
Serve as the subject matter expert and architect for ECAD tool ecosystems.
Design and implement integrations for electrical and New Product Introduction (NPI) supply chain data.
Facilitate ECAD library management and ensure high data integrity.
Architect and support solutions for PCB layout, schematic design, and component engineering.
Work closely with the engineering community to provide application support and ensure timely upgrades.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives for ECAD architecture and evaluate new technologies.
