Staff Mechanical Engineer, Production Design

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their Facilities Production Design team responsible for planning and overseeing the design and construction quality of production facilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering (or related discipline) with 5+ years of experience
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems and deliver technical projects
• Experience working with cross-functional disciplines, including external stakeholders and clients
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in BIM and other CAD environments

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, specification, and execution of mechanical airside and hydronic systems used in vehicle production
• Work on production processes with cross-functional disciplines
• Solve complex problems and deliver technical projects
• Prepare and review mechanical system control diagrams, air and hydronic flow diagrams, system submittals, construction, and as-built drawings
• Develop design standards for new projects and facilities
