Staff Design & Release Engineer - Lighting

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Staff DRE to lead the program lifecycle of Vehicle Exterior Combination lamps and Signal lamps. The role involves technical concept development, engineering design, and integration responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• 6+ years of CAD operation skills
• 4-6 years of Exterior Lighting Lamp development at a Tier 1 or OEM
• Catia v5/v6 operative skills
• Evidence of engineering skills
• Good logical reasoning
• Strong numeracy & literacy
• Working Knowledge of Speos would be advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead Exterior Lighting Program activities for Rear Combination and Signal Lamps
• Develop BoM, Cost/weight pack, DFMEA & DVP
• Provide feasibility advice to Studio
• Participate in cross-functional integration reviews
• Support the generation of design rules & guidelines
• Develop 3D and 2D models for engineering
