Physical Security Systems Engineer (Manufacturing)

Job Description

Rivian is seeking a Technical Security Engineer to support physical security technology deployments at their manufacturing facilities in Normal, IL.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience as a technical security engineer
• Expertise in physical security technology, core IT dependencies, querying, and scripting
• Ability to deploy resilient, scalable solutions
• Strong communication skills
• Effective in handling stress and pressure

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, commission, and test physical security devices
• Ensure operational availability and reliability of deployed security devices
• Provide hands-on support for the security team
• Design engineering support for new construction projects and special projects
• Design, deploy, support, and maintain Manufacturing Engineering camera systems
• Collaborate with security operations teams to translate operational requirements into technical solutions
• Harden, patch, and update technical security devices
• Provide technical security support for facilities maintenance teams and security operations center
• Utilize tech platforms for issue tracking, alerting, documentation, and communication
• Maintain databases and logical access to technical security systems
• Support cross-functional business teams with requests for workflows, features, and integrations
• Collaborate with partners in Enterprise Technology
• Provide engineering support to the technical security team
• On-call support 24/7, occasional work nights, weekends, or holidays
