Rivian is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Engineer to join their team in developing highly automated manufacturing lines for new motor programs.
Requirements
BS/MS/PhD in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics (or equivalent)
5+ years experience in an automated manufacturing environment
Strong problem solving skills and verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented with strong record-keeping and organizational skills
Proficient in process characterization and validation using statistical tools and Data analytics software
Responsibilities
Design, procurement, construction and deployment of manufacturing automation equipment
Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure ease of assembly and long-term reliability of automated systems
Management of suppliers during specification, design, buyoff and installation of manufacturing equipment
Evaluate product designs for ease of manufacturing and identify potential challenges
Creation of detailed Manufacturing Instructions to support new processes and equipment
Perform process analysis including PFMEA and capacity modeling
