Rivian is seeking a Staff Cost Engineer-Cost Engineering to play a pivotal role in the organization by completing cost models for components across Rivian vehicles.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Finance
Minimum of 7+ years of related experience
Proven experience in cost model development for metal, glass, seals, and plastic components
Proficiency in CAD models, Value Analysis / Value Engineering, and financial principles
Entrepreneurial, ambitious, independent, and collaborative team member
Responsibilities
Provide guidance on cost analysis for new designs
Develop cost models for vehicle commodities
Interface with manufacturing plants and suppliers for economical operations
Support procurement in cost reduction opportunities
Perform Value Analysis / Value Engineering activities
Assume ownership of projects and manage task completion
