Job Description

KLA is seeking a Systems Design Engineer to develop cutting-edge reticle inspection products for the semiconductor industry.

Requirements

• PhD in Plasma Physics, Laser Optics, Physical Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, or similar field
• Minimum 5 years of EUV or relevant experience
• Expertise in laser produced plasma, high-power optics, data analytics, and system modeling
• Hands-on skills in high power laser alignment, beam delivery design, wavefront sensing, plasma metrology, and process optimization
• Experience leading development and engineering teams in the semiconductor industry
• Experience in automation, system integration, vacuum systems, mechanical systems, cryogenic systems, motion control, and software systems

Responsibilities

• Define top level system specifications
• Investigate technology landscape
• Build system performance model, error budget, and top-down requirement
• Lead cross-functional teams on technical simulation, validation, prototype development, and system integration
• Define test methodology and technique
• Own system performance, cost, and development schedule
• Create and maintain systems documentation
• Drive design reviews and manage execution
• Drive system performance improvement and cost reduction
• Provide support and response to complex system problems
