Associate Test Engineer

Job Description

KLA is seeking Associate Test Engineers for various positions in manufacturing to work on testing new technologies in the semiconductor industry.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in electrical component level testing, troubleshooting, and repair
• Experience with systems development and testing
• Technical Certificate, AS degree, military technical training experience, or equivalent vocational training in a technical discipline, or 4 years of related experience
• Ability to work in a clean room environment
• Excellent written and oral interpersonal skills in English
• Experience with Oscilloscopes and DVM analysis tools
• Ability to use fine adjustment hand tools, torque wrenches, and calipers
• Effective collaboration across different functional teams and locations
• Ability to read and comprehend drawings, mathematics, and handbook formulas
• Willingness to learn, collaborate effectively, and strive for continuous improvement

Responsibilities

• Perform set-up, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments, and mechanical assemblies
• Determine and develop test specifications, methods, and procedures
• Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions
• Assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment
• Work on assignments requiring judgment to resolve issues and make recommendations
• Provide work assignment direction and technical training to peers
