Senior System Software Engineer Platform - Server Embedded Firmware

Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking a Firmware Engineer to design and implement Microcontroller Firmware for GPU Server platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
• 5+ years of experience in low level microcontroller Firmware development on embedded microcontrollers
• Experience with Zephyr or FreeRTOS
• Strong embedded programming skills using C/C++, Bash, Python, Go, etc.
• Experience with ARM Integrated Development Environments, debuggers, logic and protocol analyzers
• Experience developing BMC and/or microcontroller firmware for managing CPU, GPU, Network, and Storage Devices
• Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals and various distributions
• Expertise working with server manageability protocols such as MCTP, PLDM, SPDM, SMBUS, and OCP recovery

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Microcontroller Firmware for GPU Server platforms
• Develop C/C++ server manageability features in an RTOS embedded-optimized environment
• Perform hands-on work with microcontroller firmware bring-up, debugging, and performance analysis
• Develop embedded management software for server management devices
• Implement register-based communication and DMTF standard messaging protocols
• Collaborate with team members to meet product requirements and ensure code aligns with security goals
• Develop performance-optimized active monitoring BMC solutions using DMTF Standards
