Controls Engineer

Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring continual access to innovation for customers. They are looking for talented individuals to join their team.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical, Mechanical, or related engineering fields with 3+ years of Controls related experience; or Associates degree with 5 years of experience; or High School diploma with 8 years of experience
• Experience with industrial controls in critical environments
• 2+ years of experience in Controls or Electrical construction project coordination
• Experience with designing, configuring, programming, installing, troubleshooting, or servicing HVAC Controls and Electrical SCADA systems
• Proficiency with communication protocols such as TCP/IP, MQTT, BACnet, and/or MODBUS
• Strong understanding of engineering documentation, electrical diagrams, and standard operating procedures

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis for BMS and EPMS related issues
• Train and assist internal customers with BMS and EPMS systems
• Provide technical assistance and support during the data center life cycle
• Develop project scope, schedule, and budget for BMS & EPMS projects
• Manage BMS and EPMS improvement projects
• Assist in procurement activities and review vendor proposals
• Participate in global on-call schedule for technical support
• Attend project meetings, coordinate with leaders, and report status
• Support commissioning activities and iterate on controls sequence of operation
• Develop and modify controls logic programming and graphical user interfaces
• Manage stakeholder deliverables, requirements, and service contracts
• Regularly visit in-operation data centers for troubleshooting and supervision
