Job Description

Amazon Lab126 is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer to work on innovative features for high volume consumer products.

Requirements

• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 6+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 8+ years of embedded software development experience using C/C++ or Java
• 6+ years of strong Android Framework and Android full-stack experience
• Good understanding of Hardware Abstraction Layers (HAL), Android build systems and SELinux internals
• Understanding of embedded system development constraints
• Experienced in working effectively in a cross-functional team

Responsibilities

• Architect, develop, and deliver features for new and existing embedded system products
• Investigate, prototype and deliver innovative solutions
• Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software
• Use architectural principles, select design patterns, and mentor other team members
• Develop necessary safeguards to ensure compliance and adherence to best practices for delivering high-quality embedded system solutions
• Work with cross-functional teams and senior engineering and product teams to build and ship technical solutions for the best customer experiences
