Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring continual access to innovation for customers.

Requirements

• High school or equivalent diploma
• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience in a mission-critical infrastructure or equivalent experience in a relevant industry
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 1+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Performing daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Monitoring Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
• Assisting in troubleshooting of facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA)
• Performing rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA
• Performing PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Technical writing to support change management program
• Monitoring daily work requests and managing to resolution, executing projects from conception to completion
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors, ensuring work is performed in accordance with established practices, procedures & local legislation
• Working schedule changes depending on specific site needs, with shifts up to 12 hours and possible on-call rotations
• Supporting more than one location/site
