Engineering Operations Technician

Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is responsible for designing, planning, delivering, and operating all AWS global infrastructure, supporting data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continuous access to innovation for customers. They are seeking talented individuals to join their diverse team.

Requirements

• Technical (Military/Trade School) training or 1+ years of electrical or mechanical, HVAC, fire system experience in a mission-critical infrastructure or equivalent experience in a relevant industry
• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience
• 1+ years' experience with Microsoft Office products
• High school or equivalent diploma

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS)
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment
• Technical writing to support change management program
• Execute projects from conception to completion
• On-site support of contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors
• Work schedule flexibility with shifts up to 12-hours and on-call rotations
