Data Center Construction Manager, DCC Communities

Job Description

As a Data Center Construction Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS), you will be responsible for managing the construction of new data centers, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent engineering science plus 7+ years of relevant construction experience, OR 11+ years of relevant construction experience in lieu of a degree
• 6+ years of experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving MEP plants
• 6+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience associated with construction and project execution

Responsibilities

• Own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for construction projects
• Work alongside partner teams to build Data Centers that support customers
• Represent Amazon on construction sites and interact with construction trades
• Manage and drive cost, schedule, and quality of construction projects
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids and proposals
• Support commissioning, system testing, and operations of facilities
• Contribute to construction initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and resiliency
