Sr. Systems Development Engineer, AWS Managed Operations (MO) AWSOM Team

Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for highly motivated Senior Systems Development Engineers to join the Managed Operations (MO) organization. The team aims to reduce operational load through long-term engineering projects and improve the performance and efficiency of AWS regions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment experience
• 5+ years of systems development in an IT or data center environment experience
• 3+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience
• 3+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience
• Experience leading the design, build, and deployment of complex and performant software solutions in production

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across diverse teams, projects, and environments to impact the global customer base
• Solve challenging technical problems at every layer of the stack
• Operate production systems and make long-term improvements to reliability and performance
• Design and develop software solutions to enhance performance and reduce operational toil
