Job Description

Join our Telemetry Engineering team at Amazon as a Senior Software Development Engineer to lead the design and development of self-healing and network disruption resolution systems for global delivery infrastructure.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

Responsibilities

• Deliver projects end-to-end from design, implementation, and testing to launch
• Lead the design and development of systems for network disruptions through self-healing and prevent network outages through data collection and observation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate telemetry solutions across network infrastructure
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of engineering and operational excellence
• Participate in critical architectural decisions and define the technical roadmap for the team
