System Development Engineer, Amazon Foundational Security Services (AFSS)

Job Description

Systems Development Engineer role located in Seattle, WA to collaborate with experienced software engineers and drive improvements in technology, operate and maintain services, and build metrics for high-quality results.

Requirements

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes

Responsibilities

• Maintaining IAM (Identity and Access Management) infra of Amazon
• Diagnosing and fixing production issues, developing monitoring solutions for IAM services, performing software maintenance and configuration
• Implementing fixes for internally developed code, debugging and executing persistence solutions queries, updating, tracking, and resolving technical challenges
• Writing design documents, building new IAM solutions to support customer needs
• Working alongside development on Amazon Corporate and Divisional Software projects, updating/enhancing current software, automating support processes, documenting systems, managing AFSS org level operational cadence and programs
