Job Description

Join the AWS Infrastructure Services team to work on the design, planning, and operation of AWS global infrastructure, focusing on acoustics and sound mitigation for data center design.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in acoustics, sound, or related engineering field, with 10+ years of experience in acoustics and sound mitigation strategies for mechanical equipment
• Experience with local codes, ICC requirements, and building industry standards
• Experience with design review, specification, and submittal review processes

Responsibilities

• Driving improvement of acoustics design standards and project approaches
• Reviewing concept designs and designs in progress to ensure they meet acoustic design standards and local requirements
• Providing acoustic engineering advice on global projects and ensuring alignment of designs
• Coordinating with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams
• Ensuring code compliance, design standards, testing, inspections, and submittal review
