Sr. Software Dev Engineer, Kuiper SDN Team

Job Description

Project Kuiper is seeking a skilled professional to design, implement, and operate a high-throughput network architecture for a global telecom service using LEO satellites.

Requirements

• 7+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 7+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 7+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team

Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering a modern, flexible, scalable, high throughput, low latency network architecture
• Implementing Routing and Forwarding, Traffic Engineering, and SDN technologies
• Implementing highly-available software for networking control plane operation
• Defining and automating processes for software development, implementation, testing, and maintenance
• Providing operational excellence for control plane services
