Security Engineer, Pre-Launch Security Testing

Job Description

The Security Engineer role at Amazon involves supporting penetration testing on a global scale, evaluating AWS services, and working on security fixes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with manual source code auditing
• Minimum of 1 year of scripting experience in Python or equivalent languages
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in security engineering practices

Responsibilities

• Automate verification and remediation of security issues
• Manually audit source code of web services and software
• Write proof of concept code to demonstrate security issues
• Provide clear communication on security issues to developers
• Partner with AWS developers to drive improvement in application security
• Provide long term risk mitigation guidance
