Senior Software Development Engineer, Amazon WebView

Job Description

The Amazon WebView team is seeking a talented software development engineer to design, implement, optimize, and maintain the web engine for device software.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
• Experience working with one of the following technologies: embedded development in C/C++, Chromium, WebKit development, and/or middleware development, or web engineering

Responsibilities

• Research, design, implementation, documentation, and maintenance of new and existing software to deliver the core WebView engine
• Design, build, debug, and maintain a web engine written in C++ and Java
• Work on integration with the graphics layer, media playback, web APIs, and integration with the OS’s UI layer
