System Development Engineer, Ring Continuous Improvement

Job Description

Ring is seeking a DevOps Engineer to help build enterprise solutions, automation, and tooling for its mobile service teams, working in a challenging and rapidly scaling environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 1+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
• 5+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions, automation, and tooling for multiple service teams
• Administer, monitor, and deploy large scale systems and service solutions on AWS
• Collaborate with developers and engineers to integrate end-to-end design
• Recommend alternative design and platform options
• Automate Deployment, Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), Monitoring and Logging, Maintenance, Documentation, Problem Resolution, Scripting and Coding, Education and Training, Cost Optimization, Containerization
