Senior Hardware Development Engineer, Customer Terminal

Job Description

Senior Hardware Engineer role at Kuiper focusing on developing low cost Consumer Terminals based on phased array antennas and commercial PCB processes/materials.

Requirements

• BS degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering, or equivalent experience
• 5+ years of experience in high-speed digital design and/or RF designs
• 3+ years of experience in signal and power integrity design and analysis
• 3+ years of experience of mixed signal PCB layout designs
• 3+ years of experience in using schematic capture tool and PCB layout viewer
• 2+ years of experience board bring up and debugging in lab environment
• 2+ years of experience using lab equipment including soldering irons, hand-tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional efforts related to consumer terminal antenna board development
• Collaborate with peers from silicon, RF, antenna, technical program management, and mechanical
• Make high-value judgements on tactical vs strategic decisions to achieve system performance targets
• Solve problems with increasing technical and operational ambiguity
• Support the transition of designs to mass production
