Construction Project Engineer, DC Construction

Job Description

The Data Center Construction Project Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the construction of Amazon data centers, working on innovative electrical and mechanical systems, and ensuring high-quality delivery of projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or 6+ years of related construction management experience
• 3+ years of construction management experience in large-scale projects involving MEP plants
• Experience with general contractor and vendor management
• Knowledge of data center system-level architecture and engineering principles
• Ability to communicate clearly and use data to justify conclusions

Responsibilities

• Establishing communication and coordination across data center region's general contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams
• Participating in constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs
• Tracking and stewarding build documentation including design changes and submittals
• Managing checklists, safety inspections, and quality observations
• Overseeing project closeout efforts and contributing to increasing data center resiliency
