Job Description

The Amazon Managed Service for Apache Flink (MSF) team is looking for a Software Development Engineer to work on Apache Flink framework, focusing on building distributed stream processing engines and contributing to open source.

Requirements

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Making improvements to the stream processing engine, Apache Flink, to make MSF service the defacto service for stream processing applications
• Contributing changes back to open source, improving efficiency and availability of the engine
• Writing quality, reusable code for highly scalable and reliable cloud-based services
• Architecting the service in collaboration with product and development management
• Ensuring operational excellence and service reliability
