Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure, ensuring continual access to innovation for customers. They are seeking talented individuals to join their diverse team of specialists.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or management or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of Linux, UNIX administration
• 2+ years troubleshooting Network installation and configuration
• 2+ years triaging and repairing data center and colocation site fiber optic cabling/systems and network hardware

Responsibilities

• Installation and configuration of routers, switches, and DWDM hardware
• Troubleshoot fiber optic and copper cabling, network installations, and configuration
• Coordinating colocation remote hands for new capacity installations
• Identify, coordinate, and remediate outside plant (OSP) connectivity issues
• Performing site audits to ensure safety and quality meets AWS standards
• Updating AWS tools
• Providing status updates to stakeholders via internal tools
• Decommissioning of cabling and network hardware in collaboration with partner teams as needed
