Construction Manager

Job Description

AWS Infrastructure Services is seeking a Data Center Construction Manager to oversee construction project management and ensure quality, schedule, and budget adherence for new builds or capital projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent engineering science OR 12 years of relevant construction experience
• 8+ years of experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants
• 6+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience in construction and project execution

Responsibilities

• Direct interface with construction general contractors throughout project phases
• Conduct negotiations, evaluate bids, and create project scope and proposals
• Financial analysis, quality control, and construction document management
• Constructability reviews, project quality control, and reporting metrics
• Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for equipment failures
• Define system-level architecture, specify performance requirements, and maintain project documentation
