Data Center Construction Manager, DCC Communities

Job Description

The Data Center Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing the construction of new builds or general capital projects for Amazon Data Centers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent engineering science plus 7+ years of relevant construction experience, OR 11+ years of relevant construction experience in lieu of a degree
• 6+ years of experience in construction management of large, complex projects involving large-scale mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) plants
• 6+ years of general contractor and vendor management experience associated with construction and project execution

Responsibilities

• Own project scope, quality, schedule, and budget for construction projects
• Manage and oversee construction activities
• Work with partner teams to build Data Centers that support customers
• Represent Amazon's owner's representative on construction sites
• Create construction project scope and request for proposals
• Manage cost, schedule, and quality while overseeing construction contractors and vendors
• Support commissioning, integrated system testing, and operations of facilities
• Analyze and report construction progress and financials
• Contribute to construction initiatives for efficiency and data center resiliency
• Provide constructability reviews for electrical and mechanical designs
