Job Description

The Device OS organization at Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to work on OS solutions for Amazon Devices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby experience
• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 6+ years of designing or architecting new and existing systems experience
• 4+ years of systems development in an IT or data center environment experience
• 4+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment experience
• 6+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience

Responsibilities

• Influence strategy and roadmap through technical and non-technical insights
• Instrument, monitor, and drive improvements through metrics on the success of tools and services
• Participate in designing, prototyping, building, and maintaining reliable and high-performance tools and services
• Analyze and improve availability, efficiency, capacity, scalability, security, performance, and user experience of services
• Mentor junior team members in career growth
