Job Description

The Amazon Web Services Security Operations Center (AWS-SOC) Cloud Operations Team is seeking a highly motivated Security Engineer to manage security issues globally from the Dulles, VA location.

Requirements

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or 3+ years’ equivalent technology experience
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience on a Security Operations team, especially experience coordinating responses to security incidents
• 1+ year knowledge of web protocols, common attacks, and an in-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix tools and architecture

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot security issues
• Communicate effectively
• Handle various tasks including small-project and software development work
• Coordinate and facilitate security response activities for AWS products and services
