Systems Development Engineer, Kuiper Enterprise Technology-Low Earth Orbit Satellites

Job Description

Kuiper Productivity Engineering (KPE) is seeking a motivated and autonomous builder to deliver results to customers in the Project Kuiper initiative, which aims to increase global broadband access through a constellation of satellites.

Requirements

• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Experience with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the team's fleet of license servers
• Collaborate with customers to understand unique use cases and implement tailored solutions
• Oversee updating of license daemons and upgrading server operating systems
• Implement and improve observability measures across infrastructure
• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Apply DevOps best practices to improve system reliability, scalability, and security
• Troubleshoot complex issues across various platforms and services
• Document processes, configurations, and system architectures
• Mentor junior team members in system administration and DevOps practices
