Sr. Software Development Engineer, EC2 Nitro Specialized Instance team

Job Description

AWS Utility Computing (UC) is looking for highly-motivated and passionate engineers to support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, and other services in AWS.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things, Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS
• Build next generation network management
• Work on systems knowledge in areas such as Linux OS boot sequencing, Kernel, Hypervisor, and peripheral device development
• Collaborate with EC2 Principal Engineers and technical leaders to define technical direction, analysis, designs, and high-quality code
