Structural Analysis Engineer, Structural Integrity and Analysis

Job Description

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon is looking for a Structural Analysis Engineer with a background in spacecraft development to join the team responsible for the structural integrity of the spacecraft and supporting commodities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in aerospace, mechanical engineering field, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of working in structural analysis engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience with analysis codes like Nastran, Ansys, Abaqus
• Experience in vehicle load path definition, strength analysis, and bolted joint calculations

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis tasks
• Document stress analysis substantiating engineering drawings and documents
• Support test execution, analyze results, and document verification of structural requirements
• Support production and operation support activities through analysis of non-conformances
• Support internal/external design reviews and technical interchange meetings
• Maintain and report on activity schedule, budget, and technical status
