Job Description

The role of the Controls Engineer at Amazon involves designing and programming advanced motion control systems for packaging machinery and automation platforms to meet customer expectations and optimize supply chain efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Automation, Controls, or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience with large-scale infrastructure automation
• Experience programming with modern languages like Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes
• 3+ years experience with motion control software (Rockwell, Rexroth, Beckhoff, B&R, Siemens)

Responsibilities

• Design and program advanced packaging machinery & automation systems
• Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, Packaging, and Manufacturing engineers on project teams
• Execute control systems design, integration, and programming at the project/platform level
• Ensure technical, cost, and timeline objectives are met
• Support safety certification of projects/platforms
• Participate in meetings to enhance customer experience, supply chain performance, and sustainability
