Senior Machining Quality Engineer

Job Description

The company is seeking a talented CMEP - Senior Machining Quality Engineer to join their team specializing in Quality in Columbus, IN. The role involves resolving customer issues, maintaining quality standards, supporting change management, leading quality audits, serving as a technical resource, mentoring team members, driving continuous improvement, and supporting safe launch initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical/scientific subject, or equivalent experience
• Intermediate level of experience required, preferably 3-5 years in Manufacturing, Engineering, or Program Management in the automotive industry or a similarly regulated industry
• Experience with GD&T Data analysis and capability studies

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with customers and deliver solutions that meet their needs
• Develop and deliver clear, multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences
• Apply understanding of manufacturing processes to implement changes for efficiency and quality improvement

• Apply quality tools and methods to ensure high standards in products, processes, and services
• Utilize quality tools and processes to maintain the effectiveness of the quality management system
• Use statistical tools for decision-making, process performance description, and improvement actions

• Leverage cloud-based systems and digitization for improved quality outcomes through advanced technologies
