Systems Development Engineer, GCNA - Direct Connect

Job Description

The AWS Infrastructure Services team is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to work on the Direct Connect capacity engineering team, focusing on designing, planning, and delivering AWS global infrastructure.

Requirements

• 4+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, Ruby
• Knowledge of systems engineering fundamentals (networking, storage, operating systems)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain innovative solutions to transform service performance, durability, cost, and security
• Write high quality distributed system software
• Collaborate with Network/Systems/Software Engineering teams for new designs and products roll-out
• Contribute to documentation of process and procedures
• Participate in an on-call rotation with the team
