EMC/EMI Engineer - Antenna, Hardware Development

Job Description

Amazon is seeking an Electromagnetic Interference and Compatibility (EMI and EMC) Engineer to join the Project Kuiper initiative, launching a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide broadband connectivity globally.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent degree
• 3+ years of experience in a hardware development role focusing on electromagnetic environments or EMI/EMC
• 3+ years of experience with defining and conducting EMI/EMC testing for electronic components and systems

Responsibilities

• Define requirements for testing and qualifying subsystems
• Perform analysis of radiated emissions and susceptibility (RE/RS)
• Develop models for interference and shielding issues to mitigate and control emissions and susceptibility
• Coordinate EMI and EMC testing for satellites and subsystems
• Develop and maintain EMI/EMC test labs and equipment
• Identify emission and susceptibility non-conformance and provide solutions
