Security Assurance Engineer II, Kuiper Security

Job Description

Project Kuiper is looking for a Security Engineer with strong data governance skills to drive new innovation and successful security outcomes for Kuiper's evolving needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• 3+ years of threat modeling experience, secure coding, identity management and authentication, software development, cryptography, system administration and network security experience
• Knowledge of networking protocols such as HTTP, DNS and TCP/IP
• Ability to engage autonomously with product and system owners to resolve ambiguous security problems
• Ability to weigh security and business risk trade-offs when identifying solutions

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with product teams to develop new features and mechanisms with a focus on security
• Influence decision-makers and stakeholders throughout the organization to maintain a high security bar
• Assess and provide mitigations for security risks across Kuiper's technology, services, and applications
• Ensure timely treatment of detected security issues based on their true risk level
• Develop, interpret, and implement security policies and procedures
• Provide guidance on supply chain security practices to the AWS community
• Drive best security practices through the Kuiper supply chain by developing and implementing SCRM policies and procedures
• Participate in setting a vision and objectives for the team's work in alignment with business and regulatory needs
