Job Description

Amazon Last Mile Delivery Tech (LMDT) is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer to lead the transformation towards automated, intelligent delivery stations using innovative Under the Roof (UTR) Technology solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software development experience
• 8+ years of programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++
• 8+ years contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 2+ years hands-on experience as a senior Principal Engineer leading multiple software engineering teams
• Experience shipping successful large-scale supply chain projects
• Experience partnering with Research Science or Machine Learning experts

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical strategy and architecture for UTR Tech organization
• Define and execute the automation roadmap integrating MHE automation and IoT approaches
• Design and implement modular automation solutions for multiple operational processes
• Drive technical decisions across multiple VP organizations
• Architect scalable solutions that combine hardware with software
• Establish technical standards and best practices for integrating advanced automation technologies
• Mentor senior and Principal engineers while fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful deployment of automation solutions
